Hugh’s Antics

I don’t think it’ll be a surprise to anyone to hear that It’s a busy season for Hugh.

We’ve missed Hugh on our TV screens, but fear not, he’ll be back with a vengeance in early 2022.

Home of the Year Season 8

We’re really looking forward to Home of the Year, season 8 which Hugh is filming at the moment. Aside from getting to experience some amazing homes, he’s getting great pleasure from sampling the gastronomic delights Irish restaurants across the length and breadth of the country have to offer.

We’re tried to get some insider info, but Hugh remains tight-lipped, despite the offer of strong coffee and delectable treats!

This next season will air in spring 2022.

My Bungalow Bliss

In celebration of the 50-year anniversary of the publication of the original book of the same name by Neil Fitzsimmon, Hugh is reinvigorating the concept of the modest, Irish bungalow. Taking 4 couples, 4 bungalows and 4 architects, Hugh follows their transformation from functional to fantastic, with what Hugh promises are “to-die-for” results.

You’ll be able to see for yourself when the show airs on RTE 1 in November.

Inside Out Show

You may have seen on Hugh’s Instagram some pictures of himself with Diarmuid Gavin and Dermot Bannon in support of the Inside Out Show – a month-long online event held throughout October 2021 in aid of Friends of the Coombe.

In what was an exceptionally enjoyable and at times moving conversation, Hugh chatted to Diarmuid Gavin about his childhood, about where and how his ambitions were derived. This really is a must see, so if you haven’t already seen it, log in now, donate and view the video.

That's not all
