Howth House: A Contemporary Coastal Build in Progress

February 2026

We are delighted to showcase one of our current residential projects — Howth House — a striking contemporary home overlooking the sea in Howth, Co. Dublin.

Sensitively inserted within a Special Area of Amenity (Howth SAAO) and perched high above Dublin Bay, the four-bedroom house has been carefully designed to maximise its exceptional setting and panoramic coastal views. The architecture is defined by unusual geometry, bold lines and sharp corners, creating a distinctive visual identity that responds to both site and horizon.

The design draws inspiration from the glamour of Miami’s seafront homes while maintaining a restrained, quiet elegance that complements the surrounding landscape. The material palette is confident and honest, centred on steel and concrete — robust elements that provide shelter from the sea breeze while remaining discreetly integrated within the overall composition.

Expansive glazing captures and frames the ever-changing coastal scenery. Carefully positioned openings create a series of visual vignettes: glimpses of the sea through pine trees, views of the land falling towards the shore, and framed perspectives across Dublin Bay.

Construction is progressing well, with the build now at roof level. The steel framework is in place, and the concrete structure is already asserting itself as a defining element of the architectural expression.

We look forward to sharing further updates as Howth House continues to evolve.
