Meet The Team: Luke Maloney

As with most practices, we furloughed the majority of our team through Covid and those that didn’t, worked from home. Over the last few weeks, we’re relieved to be slowly but surely making a phased come back to the office environment on a blended home / office basis.

We’re also delighted to welcome back, Luke Maloney to the team. Luke worked with us during the summer of 2019 as an architectural student and re-joins us now on a full-time basis as a Graduate Architect of TU Dublin with first class honours.

An avid and, by all accounts, accomplished hurling player, he’s a member of the Bray Emmets GAA Club Senior Team. We’re also reliably informed that he’s got some musical talent and at weekends (post lockdown, of course) you’ll find him gigging in pubs across Dublin town.

Inspired by the likes of Alvar Alto and Peter Zumthor, Luke will be working on both our domestic and commercial residential projects.

Welcome to the team, Luke.

That's not all

Hugh Wallace Director

It is with deep sadness and shock that we share the news that our beloved Hugh Wallace, passed away suddenly at home last night. We are heartbroken.

Hugh was a director and co-founder of architecture firm, Douglas Wallace Consultants and was widely known and admired for his work as presenter of The Great House Revival and as a judge on Home of the Year. His passion, creativity and warmth touched colleagues, audiences, and friends across the country.

May he rest in peace.

The offices of Douglas Wallace will remain closed as a mark of respect.
