Overview
The front of house areas, be it the main reception and lobby space with its innovative moving image ceiling feature to the culinary progressive restaurant and bar space with a characteristic central island bar, intimate booth seating and eclectic and electric fittings and furnishings offer an experience not yet known in Dublin and of course Hard Rock curated rock memorabilia set in bespoke cabinetry or as framed artwork.
At all times we looked for the way and means to ‘rock it up’ a bit. Rock memorabilia, graphics and subtle & interesting quirky touches pop their head up as you move through the interior scheme at all times reminding us of where we are and encouraging us to ‘Rock on’

Our role
Douglas Wallace were thrilled to be asked to be a part of the very experience design team behind the new Hard Rock Hotel on Lord Edward Street in Dublin.
Hard Rock came with inherent international brand values, it was also part of the brief to make the new Dublin Hard Rock hotel understand local context and be specific to the Dublin and Irish market.
With the drive to present a 5 star product within the environs of city centre Dublin situation, we delved into the key inspiration pieces from the area; Copper Alley, the historicity of the existing building, the international acclaim of the Irish rock scene to name but a few. From these inspiration came the interior design approach.
The 120 bedrooms come in a variety of open and close bathroom schemes with all materials and textures complementing to offer luxury, comfort and visual appeal with the most up to date hotel bedroom conveniences.
