Overview
There has been a hotel on the beach at Garryvoe since the early 1900s taking full advantage of the sea side vantage – the golden, sandy, five-mile beach; the view of Ballycotton and its lighthouse, and mystery of the rolling sea. The hotel has always been and continues to be a family owned independent hotel.
With a firm reputation as a popular wedding venue in the area, The Garryvoe has won numerous hospitality awards for their service and offers. The client was keen then to drive the Hotel forward by refurbishing a tired and lacklustre ground floor area and wanted now to augment their wedding offer with a pure leisure offer for all newcomers to the hotel.
Rethinking their fundamental areas of hospitality and re-evaluating how they approached their service, Douglas Wallace have revised the ground floor layout now to bring a new air of comfort and sophistication with an enlarged dining area, a bespoke library bar area, a new reception and the culmination is a wonderful sun room facing seawards.
Working very closely with the client Douglas Wallace on all aspects of the interior design, space planning and logistical nature of their new hospitality offer, the Garryvoe will now become a destination perfectly complementing their already burgeoning wedding venue.
